Context
Les Déterminés is a family of disciples, a Christian community whose daily life was scattered across WhatsApp, Zoom and in-person meetings. The community wanted a single space for membership, mentoring, community life and communication, accessible first from a phone, in French and English.
Challenge
Giving each person a space suited to their role, from visitor to super-administrator through pending member, active member, disciple-maker and division lead, while guaranteeing that security never depends on the interface: a member must never be able to read another member's data, even by bypassing the screen.
Approach
- 01Bilingual public showcase editable by administrators without touching the code: programmes, vision and pillars, organisation chart of the eight divisions, testimonies, interactive map of the community.
- 02Online membership with timestamped GDPR consent, validation queue for leads, automatic emails and one-click unsubscribe via signed link.
- 03Member area whose menu and dashboard adapt to the role: session attendance, commitments and involvement rate, text, audio or video testimonies, appointment booking with one's disciple-maker on a slot calendar.
- 04Full administration: members, groups and divisions, programmes with automatic generation of occurrences, moderation, payment accounts for contributions, email CRM with targeted campaigns.
- 05Security enforced in PostgreSQL: Row-Level Security on every table, anti-privilege-escalation trigger, three separate key levels, Zod validation shared by client and server, audit log of sensitive actions.
- 06Native iOS and Android shell prepared with Capacitor (push notifications, sharing), loading the deployed site.
Results
Platform in production, delivered with a feature sheet and a technical sheet for the community. Serverless architecture (Vercel, Supabase) ready to scale without rewriting: online contributions, the member journey and a chatbot will be added without touching the foundations.
